Card Body
The card body of a smart ID card credential must be physically secure and robust. A typical life cycle is five to ten years and the credential must survive the rigors of harsh and varying environments. It must contain multiple security features and anti counterfeiting technologies. Additionally it must host unalterable information about the cardholder. Special plastics such as Polycarbonate (PC), Polyethylene Terephtalate (PET) and other composite structures, are used to ensure the exacting standards are met..
A smartID card body will feature multiple security design elements and printing features combined with security inks and other techniques which are impossible to reproduce without advanced printing and manufacturing technologies, available only to authorized companie. |
