Established in 1976, NagraID joined the Kudelski Group in 2001. Our headquarters are located in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), the cradle of the world’s watchmaking industry.
The transmission of watchmaking expertise from one generation to the next has made it possible to develop a unique skills base in various sectors of activity combined with a constant quest for innovation. NagraID naturally adopted these very same qualities for the manufacture of its products.
Our first research into printing synthetic materials dates back to the early 1980’s. As a result, we developed solutions and production processes such as cold lamination, as well as, a unique method for printing plastic media known as “NagraPrint”. These, and other, techniques are protected by NagraID patents.
The constant development and miniaturisation of electronic components has supported the identification and financial markets’ demand for higher security. NargaID’s patented production methods enable us to embed sophisticated electronic components into a wide variety of form factors including ISO 7810 conforming plastic cards.
For our customers, the variety of applications range from electronic identification cards (e-IDs) to bank cards, including electronic transport passes and tracking solutions for goods and persons. Our market segments include: financial, transportation, healthcare, logistics, industrial, access control, government & secure identification as well as loyalty and promotional cards for the broader markets.
While we offer many standard products our R&D Center and engineering group, provide expertise in the design, development and industrialization of unique products and form factors.
